Coffee & Friends

I am meeting up with a long time friend tomorrow morning for coffee.  My plan is to take her this little card that I made using an old Mojo Monday layout.  The inside says "A good friend will know how you take your coffee.  A great friend will add booze!"  How funny is that?  And so true too.  Looking forward to our Friday "coffee".

Wire Works

It's tht time again.  Time for the Flower Soft Wire Works Challenge. I just love how realistic this tree branch looks with the punched leaves.  Probably one of my favorite wire projects yet.  Now I can think of so many more branches & trees I want to try.  And for any of you that know me, you know how much I love, love, love my tree projects.  Also, the Flower Soft Glue worked fabulously for adhering the branch to the paper along with the little leaves to the branch.

The inspiration for my card came from the fabulous KittyKraft.  I absolutely love her work & must admit to spending hours browsing her blog.  Her attention to detail is like no other I have ever seen.  She is a true talent!  My card doesn't even compare to hers, I realize, but the idea did come from here.  Now I need to find these awesome cloud dies.  These are going to be a must for my collection!

Here is a direct link to her card shown below.

New Colors

Today we are using some of the new colors offered by Flower Soft.  I chose to use the new color Daffodil along with the Floral Card Making Kit.  I chose to make two versions of this card.  The first one I made was using the background included in the kit & the second one is a "stepped up" version.
Thanks for stopping by.  Now be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations here.

Flower Soft Die Cut Dimensions Butterly Kit

For today's challenge we are using the Flower Soft Die Cut Dimensions Butterfly Kit.  For my creation I used Deja Views paper pack along with Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranite card stock & ribbon.  Very simple yet elegant, I think.  Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog for detailas on the challenge & see the rest of the designs teams creations.  Thanks for stopping by.

Flower Soft New Colors

Today we are featuring the new colors available from Flower Soft.
I chose to use Cornflower.  I know, I know, it's a hydrangea.  Lol!
But I thought this blue made a great hydrangea.  So pretty.
Also available are Crocus, Daffodil & Old Rose.

Flower Soft "Toppers"

Today we are showing Flower Soft Toppers or Stamps.  "Toppers" seems to be one of those words that a lot of people don't quite understand.  Think of it as a pre-printed image that is already colored in & ready to apply to the "top" of your card.  I'm a stamper at heart so at first I wasn't sure what I thought about making a card with an image that has already been "finished" for me.  But after joining the Flower Soft Team I must say I see the attraction.  If you need or just want to create some quickie cards this is definitely the way to go.  For todays project I used the Springtime Card Toppers.  I also added some Ultra Fine Sage & one of the new mixes,  Old Rose Flower Soft to complete the image.

Mojo237

I promise I did start with this Mojo Monday 237 layout although my card sort of took a different form.  I guess the important part is I was inspired by Mojo Monday & did create a card that I really do like.  That's the whole idea, right.  Inspire & create!  As you can probably tell I really like warm earth tones & fall happens to be one of my favorite times of the year.  Even though it is screaming spring outside in Indiana today I ended up creating something that looks a little more fallish.  Oh well, as I said before the important part is inspiration & creation.

FS Butterfly Kit Challenge

For the Flower Soft Challenge today we are to use the Die Cut Dimensions Butterflies.  Here is my version trying to use them a little out of the norm.  It's always so easy to just grab my nestibilities & layer away (not sure what I ever did without them now!).  So this time I wanted to "challenge" myself to do something different from my usual.  Can't wait to see what everyone else does.  Check out the rest of the team here.

MOJO236

Mojo Monday, round two, three & four!  So, in my last post I said I was definitely going to use Mojo Monday sketch 236 again.  Well, I already have . . .  3 more times!  I just love this layout.  I actually am in need of several birthday cards this week & this just worked out perfect.  A couple more that are more masculine & the one with the bird is actually done with only patterned paper but works well with the gift I bought my mother for her upcoming birthday.  And she loves birds so it was a must do for her.  Hope you enjoy!

MOJO236

I absolutely LOVE today's Mojo Monday sketch!  I have a feeling I will be using this layout a lot!  It's simple, clean & there are a million possibilities.  Can't wait to make another one.  For my first one I chose this paper combo from 7 gypsies because I needed a masculine card.  Stay tuned for more . . .

Wire Works!

I must admit this challenge is not always the easiest for me.  I like using the Flower Soft wires but whenenver I am told I have to use something I feel such pressure.  For todays design I made a tree branch by coloring the wires with a copic & then adding some Ultra Fine Sage & Christmas Green Flower Soft for the leaves.  The little bird & sentiment are both from different Stampin' Up sets.  Be sure to check out the rest of the Flower Girls creations here.

Wire Works

For my card today I used Flower Soft wires to create the antennas and some Ultra Fine Black Flower Soft for this cute little bee's stripes.  The image is from Pink Petticoat.  I absolutely love digital stamps.  They are just so versitile, there is no mess, & the outline is always perfect.  And once again I didn't own the perfect sentiment so I just typed it using this cute little font & punched it out with 2 of my favorite Stampin' Up Punches.

Heart U!

For today's challenge I used Poppy Red Flower Soft on this gorgeous old Stampin' Up Stamp.  I had this in my pile of stamps to get rid of but then thought "oh what a perfect image to add some Flower Soft to".  So now this stamp is back in my cabinet to keep. :)  I can't even imagine how many years I have had this one.  So fun to "re-use" something old & love it all of over again.  Now be sure to check out the rest of the Flower Girls creations here.

True Blue

Today's challenge is to use the Mabel Lucie Attwell Kit #8.  I chose this image because the title of the challenge is True Blue.  I also chose to cut out the image & put it behind this cute little window die.  I put a layer of transparency film between the two to make it really appear to be a window.  I didn't own the sentiment I was looking for so I just typed it on my computer & printed it out to punch.  Hope you like.  :)

Wire Works

Today we are using Flower Soft Wires with Fuchsia or Ultra Fine Ocean Flower Soft.  These little wires are so versatile.  The options are limitless.  I used mine as flower stems by coloring them with my copics to a nice shade of green.  I also chose to use Fuchsia Flower Soft for the centers of my flowers.
Be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations on the Flower Soft Blog.

Everything's Coming Up Roses . . . or Daisy's or . . .

For today's challenge we were to create something using flowers & Fuchsia
or Ultra Fine Ocean Flower Soft.  I chose to use Fuchsia.
I just love those mixes.  They are so versatile.  Be sure to check

Holiday Thank You

A great big holiday thank you!
Today I am writing all my holiday thank you notes.
This is the "other" version I created.
It is very different than the snowman I did yesterday.
I actually sort of "cased" myself from the Flower Soft
All That Sparkles Challenge back in October.
Apparently I liked all those sparkles & glitz & decided to do it again only in my favorite color - RED!  I used Flower Soft Diamond Range Ruby for the letter "U" & a copic marker to turn my gemstones red to match.

FSC41 Think Snow

What says "think snow' more than this classy little image by Flower Soft?  I absolutely love this scene. I think because it reminds me of my Department 56 village that I put up every year for the holidays.  This is one of the 4 images included in the Christmas Snow Globes Card Kit by Flower Soft.  For this card I also used my Spellbinders dies, a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Ultra Fine White & Polar White Flower Soft & there you have it . . . easy peasy.  Now "Think Snow" & play along with this fun little challenge for a chance to win a jar of Ultra Fine White & a jar of Polar White Flower Soft
For all the deets hop on over to the Flower Soft Blog & also be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations while your there.

FSC40 Winter Blues

This week our Flower Soft challenge is titled Winter Blues.  Which is a touch fitting for me this year.  I am getting ready to have foot surgery next Monday & am already thinking about all the inconviences this is going to cause through out the winter holidays.  On a happy note, I will hopefully get this behind me & be good as new for spring activities!  Wish me luck!

Here is my Winter Blues Card.  I used Polar White Flower Soft for his scarf & then lots of Ultra Fine White Flower Soft for the appearance of snow.  I must admit I had to add the  Ultra Fine twice in order to get the "thick" look.  I applied it one time, waited for the glue to dry then re-applied again.  It truly looks like snow now.

Now be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations on the Flower Soft Blog & then head over to Flower Soft & stock up on lots of Polar White & Ultra Fine White Flower Soft for all those winter projects.  If you would like to play along with this challenge you  have until November 30 to make your card and link it to the Flower Soft Blog. You could win a pot of Polar White & Delphinium Blue Flower Soft plus a Flower Soft glue.  Good luck & happy card making to all!
