Coffee & Friends

I am meeting up with a long time friend tomorrow morning for coffee.  My plan is to take her this little card that I made using an old Mojo Monday layout.  The inside says "A good friend will know how you take your coffee.  A great friend will add booze!"  How funny is that?  And so true too.  Looking forward to our Friday "coffee".

Old Fashioned Hello

I just love the look of this stamp.
Reminds me of my teen years when I spent
hours on a phone just like this chatting with my friends.
My mom use to ask "What could you possibly
have to talk about?  You just saw them an hour ago."
LOL!

Wire Works

It's tht time again.  Time for the Flower Soft Wire Works Challenge. I just love how realistic this tree branch looks with the punched leaves.  Probably one of my favorite wire projects yet.  Now I can think of so many more branches & trees I want to try.  And for any of you that know me, you know how much I love, love, love my tree projects.  Also, the Flower Soft Glue worked fabulously for adhering the branch to the paper along with the little leaves to the branch.

The inspiration for my card came from the fabulous KittyKraft.  I absolutely love her work & must admit to spending hours browsing her blog.  Her attention to detail is like no other I have ever seen.  She is a true talent!  My card doesn't even compare to hers, I realize, but the idea did come from here.  Now I need to find these awesome cloud dies.  These are going to be a must for my collection!

Here is a direct link to her card shown below.

Flower Soft Challenge - Oriental Blossoms Papercraft Kit

For todays challenge I used Flower Softs Oriental Blossoms Papercraft Kit.  And I also made my own Flower Soft mix using Baby Pink, Pale Green & Polar White.  The first picture really shows the dimension of the Flower Soft but the second two photos actually show the colors a little better along with oval window I cut using the same spellbinder die that I used to cut out the image inside the card.  Hope you enjoy.

Now head over to the Flower Soft Blog to check out the rest of the design teams creations & find out how you can participate in todays challenge. Thanks for stopping by. :)

New Colors

Today we are using some of the new colors offered by Flower Soft.  I chose to use the new color Daffodil along with the Floral Card Making Kit.  I chose to make two versions of this card.  The first one I made was using the background included in the kit & the second one is a "stepped up" version.
Thanks for stopping by.  Now be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations here.

Flower Soft Die Cut Dimensions Butterly Kit

For today's challenge we are using the Flower Soft Die Cut Dimensions Butterfly Kit.  For my creation I used Deja Views paper pack along with Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranite card stock & ribbon.  Very simple yet elegant, I think.  Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog for detailas on the challenge & see the rest of the designs teams creations.  Thanks for stopping by.

Call Me Any Time!

It's Wire Works time!  This has always been such a challenge for me but I think I am finally getting the hang of it.  It's funny I am constantly finding inspiration in everyday life objects & saying "Oh!  I can use Flower Soft Wires for that!"  So easily I am entertained.  Lol!  I thought this telephone stamp just screemed for a coiled wire.  And I love the way it turned out.
Check out the rest of the design teams creations here.
It is always so fun to see what every one else comes up with.

Flower Soft New Colors

Today we are featuring the new colors available from Flower Soft.
I chose to use Cornflower.  I know, I know, it's a hydrangea.  Lol!
But I thought this blue made a great hydrangea.  So pretty.
Also available are Crocus, Daffodil & Old Rose.

More Cricut Designs

I have made so many great door logos for our front door for holidays using the cricut & vinyl.  Holiday logos are so great because when the holiday is over simply peel it off & you are ready to move on to the next.  I have been racking my brain for what I could put on the door for the summer months.  So finally I made something that will work until fall.  I've also already made my Halloween one.  Can't wait to put that one up.  :)  I've also been asked by two of our friends to make them each one.  Love it when something is a success.  Guess I know what I will be doing for their anniverasaries coming up.  ;)

Pinterest Idea

I saw this idea on Pinterest some time ago & absolutely loved it.  The picture I originally saw was a wedding photo.  Last weekend I walked into a local antique store & there right inside the door was this awesome old window frame.  I knew the second I saw it what I wanted to do with it.  So here is my version.  I took a photo & cropped it into 4 - 8x10's then matched them up in the panes.  You could also just have 1 photo enlarged  but the measurements weren't really working for this particular frame so I opted to crop mine.  Plus then I could print the photos at home instead of making a trip to a photo lab.  I am thrilled with how it turned out!

Organization!!!

I have spent a little time recently organizing my office.  I have been wanting to put vinyl decals on my walls somewhere for some time & finally got around to doing it.  I bought this awesome magnetic dry erase board to help in my staying organized & then used the cricut to make the lettering above.  I absolutely love the way it turned out!  Ahhhhh, now to enjoy my neat orderly space. :)

Flower Soft "Toppers"

Today we are showing Flower Soft Toppers or Stamps.  "Toppers" seems to be one of those words that a lot of people don't quite understand.  Think of it as a pre-printed image that is already colored in & ready to apply to the "top" of your card.  I'm a stamper at heart so at first I wasn't sure what I thought about making a card with an image that has already been "finished" for me.  But after joining the Flower Soft Team I must say I see the attraction.  If you need or just want to create some quickie cards this is definitely the way to go.  For todays project I used the Springtime Card Toppers.  I also added some Ultra Fine Sage & one of the new mixes,  Old Rose Flower Soft to complete the image.

Mojo237

I promise I did start with this Mojo Monday 237 layout although my card sort of took a different form.  I guess the important part is I was inspired by Mojo Monday & did create a card that I really do like.  That's the whole idea, right.  Inspire & create!  As you can probably tell I really like warm earth tones & fall happens to be one of my favorite times of the year.  Even though it is screaming spring outside in Indiana today I ended up creating something that looks a little more fallish.  Oh well, as I said before the important part is inspiration & creation.

FS Wire Works

It's time for our monthly Flower Soft wire works challange.  It's always so fun to see what everyone else does with these wires.  The possibilities are endless.  My vision for this card originally was that there would actually be more wire showing, not just on the ends.  But I did like the way the card turned out overall so I ran with it.

FS Butterfly Kit Challenge

For the Flower Soft Challenge today we are to use the Die Cut Dimensions Butterflies.  Here is my version trying to use them a little out of the norm.  It's always so easy to just grab my nestibilities & layer away (not sure what I ever did without them now!).  So this time I wanted to "challenge" myself to do something different from my usual.  Can't wait to see what everyone else does.  Check out the rest of the team here.

MOJO236

Mojo Monday, round two, three & four!  So, in my last post I said I was definitely going to use Mojo Monday sketch 236 again.  Well, I already have . . .  3 more times!  I just love this layout.  I actually am in need of several birthday cards this week & this just worked out perfect.  A couple more that are more masculine & the one with the bird is actually done with only patterned paper but works well with the gift I bought my mother for her upcoming birthday.  And she loves birds so it was a must do for her.  Hope you enjoy!

MOJO236

I absolutely LOVE today's Mojo Monday sketch!  I have a feeling I will be using this layout a lot!  It's simple, clean & there are a million possibilities.  Can't wait to make another one.  For my first one I chose this paper combo from 7 gypsies because I needed a masculine card.  Stay tuned for more . . .

Happy Easter!

One of the Flower Soft Design Team projects for this month is called "Anything Goes".  I really wanted to use the Easter Fun topper for something this month so this is the one.  All I used was the adorable little chick topper, My Minds Eye paper, my Nestibilities, some ribbon & dimensional pop up dots.  Very simple but so appropriate for the season.  Hope you all have a Happy Easter!

Celebrate with Wine Buffs

Today we are celebrating with Flower Soft Wine Buffs Papercraft Kits.  I also chose to add a stamp from the Flower Soft's Wine Buffs - Celebrate stamp set.  What says celebrate better than wine?!?  Lol!  Be sure to check out the rest of the teams creations here.

Wire Works!

I must admit this challenge is not always the easiest for me.  I like using the Flower Soft wires but whenenver I am told I have to use something I feel such pressure.  For todays design I made a tree branch by coloring the wires with a copic & then adding some Ultra Fine Sage & Christmas Green Flower Soft for the leaves.  The little bird & sentiment are both from different Stampin' Up sets.  Be sure to check out the rest of the Flower Girls creations here.

Happy Spring!

For today's project I used the Flower Soft Bicycle topper along with the Sizzix picket fence die.  What a beautiful image and such a quick & easy creation.  I also used Lavender, Summer & Ultra Fine Sage Flower Soft on this project.  Please check out the rest of the Flower Girls creations here.

Birthday Cake Bella

I just love Bella Stamps.  I don't think I will ever get tired of using them.  I remember when they first came out I couldn't wait to get my hands on a selection of them.  This one is called cakeabella.  I used a couple different embossing folders, my nestabilities, copics & a touch a spica to the candle "flame".  Very simple card yet one of my favorites for a girly birthday.  The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye six by six packs, which I absolutely love.  I also used my copics to color the gem stones to match perfectly.

Kitchen Curtains

For the last couple days I have been running all over town trying to find new curtains that I like for my kitchen.  Who knew this was going to be such a hard task!?!  My problem is that I have a larger double window in the same room that I wanted regular panels for but then I also wanted a "matching" material for the smaller window above the sink.  I must say there are some awful "kitchen" curtains out there.  Do they think since it's the kitchen it has to be a total different style than the rest of our homes.  So after many purchases AND returns I decided to alter a panel & make the curtain that I really wanted.  I am thrilled with the end result & it "matches" the panels on the larger window perfectly.  The best part is I only spent $12.00 per panel at Lowes.  Yay . . . I love it & it was cost effective.  I can also untie the ties & drop the panel down if wanted.  My husband likes it too although he still doesn't know why I HAD to replace the old curtains, which I made about 10 years ago. Apparently he doesn't "get tired" of decor quite as quickly as I do.  LOL!

Here is what the original panel looked like:
(These are hanging on the same wall @ the larger double window)

And here is the altered version:

FS Borders

For today's Flower Soft Challenge we were to use Flower Soft to create a border.
So here is my creation.

Isn't this little bunny the cutest?  And he cost a whole dollar.  Can't beat that!  I used Ultra Fine Sage Flower Soft on the Spellbinder "border".  I think it added a great touch to this cute little guy.

Wire Works

For my card today I used Flower Soft wires to create the antennas and some Ultra Fine Black Flower Soft for this cute little bee's stripes.  The image is from Pink Petticoat.  I absolutely love digital stamps.  They are just so versitile, there is no mess, & the outline is always perfect.  And once again I didn't own the perfect sentiment so I just typed it using this cute little font & punched it out with 2 of my favorite Stampin' Up Punches.

Now check out the rest of the Flower Girls creations here.  Thanks for stopping by.

Valentine for a Friend FSC45

For my card today, I chose this image from Flower Soft because of the little girls red dress.  Not only is red my favorite color it also always reminds me of Valentines Day.  Be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations here.  Thanks for stopping by.

Heart U!

For today's challenge I used Poppy Red Flower Soft on this gorgeous old Stampin' Up Stamp.  I had this in my pile of stamps to get rid of but then thought "oh what a perfect image to add some Flower Soft to".  So now this stamp is back in my cabinet to keep. :)  I can't even imagine how many years I have had this one.  So fun to "re-use" something old & love it all of over again.  Now be sure to check out the rest of the Flower Girls creations here.

True Blue

Today's challenge is to use the Mabel Lucie Attwell Kit #8.  I chose this image because the title of the challenge is True Blue.  I also chose to cut out the image & put it behind this cute little window die.  I put a layer of transparency film between the two to make it really appear to be a window.  I didn't own the sentiment I was looking for so I just typed it on my computer & printed it out to punch.  Hope you like.  :)

Wire Works

Today we are using Flower Soft Wires with Fuchsia or Ultra Fine Ocean Flower Soft.  These little wires are so versatile.  The options are limitless.  I used mine as flower stems by coloring them with my copics to a nice shade of green.  I also chose to use Fuchsia Flower Soft for the centers of my flowers.
Be sure to check out the rest of the design teams creations on the Flower Soft Blog.

FSC43 Step It Up!

For  the Flower Soft challenge today we were to "step up" the Mabel Lucie Atwell Card Making Kit #8.  I chose this cute little image of two girls whispering.  The first card is using just the products that come in the kit.

The second card is "stepped up" by using dimensions that are included in the Mabel Lucie Atwell 3D Die Cut Kit,  my spellbinders dies, some additional card stock, ink the edges, add some bling (colored with copics to match) & some satin ribbon. Easy peasy, yet gives it so much more pizzaz.

This challenge is open to you too.  Just choose a card from any DT members blog and "step-it-up" in your own way. You can either upload your creation to your own blog or to SCS using the keyword FSC43.  Also link your cards to the Flower Soft Blog.  Please also let us know which card you used for inspiration by linking it as well.   You have until Jan 30 to enter this challenge which gives you a chance to win the Mabel Lucie Attwell Kit#8.

Now be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog to see the other designer's creations & pick one to be your inspiration.

Everything's Coming Up Roses . . . or Daisy's or . . .

For today's challenge we were to create something using flowers & Fuchsia
or Ultra Fine Ocean Flower Soft.  I chose to use Fuchsia.
I just love those mixes.  They are so versatile.  Be sure to check
out the Flower Soft Blog to see more of the design teams creations.
