We Rock the 4th!

Yesterday was an extremely long day.  It started out by loading up tons of goodies from the store & then setting up @ the Westfield Rock's the 4th festival.  Then after a full day of food, music & fireworks, we packed all the unsold items up & unloaded back @ the store.  14 hours of fun!  :)

Now we start preparing for our Grand Opening/Open House next weekend.  Shew!

Bird Cage

So those of you who know me, know that I have a new obsession with birds & bird cages.

Check out this cute little cage.  I think this one makes a great candle holder.

Wouldn't this be adorable on a patio, porch or in a flower garden?  Too cute. :)

I must admit I had no idea what this patterned burlap was when I found it.

I just thought it was beautiful the way it is & would make a great area rug or wall hanging.

Then I did a little research & found that it is actually a wool rug hooking pattern.

So cool!

One of the really cool things that I am getting to do now is get back to my passion of photography.

I absolutely love taking nature & animal photos.  Here is one of my all time favorites.  This one is an 8x10 & currently available at The Painted Cottage.  I can take custom orders as well.  Wouldn't this be cool in a 16x20?!?  I have many photos to choose from & am always taking more.  Stay tuned.

Burlap & Felt

Everywhere you look in the design world today you will find burlap.  I absolutley love this medium.  It is so versitile. So the other day I decided to use burlap & felt in a card design.  Can't wait to see if people like these.  I love them!  Definitely going to use burlap & felt in some future projects.
